Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Anti-social behaviour in Welwyn Garden City town centre

Issued 09 January 2026

We have been working hard to identify those contributing to ASB in the area and we are working closely with partner agencies and schools. Work has been completed with the full support of the managing agent for the now vacant Lloyd’s Bank to ensure the premises is properly secured. This will prevent those who would seek to trespass from gaining entry and causing damage. We’re also installing gates in the alleyway that run alongside McDonalds to the bus station. This should prevent the alleyway from being used for criminality and ASB.
