While it may be Rural Crime Week, the reality for Rickmansworth Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is that rural policing is part of our daily business all year round.
Our officers regularly conduct patrols across the many farms, fields, bridleways, rural roads and isolated locations within the area, working to protect and support our rural communities.
Whether it's tackling off-road bikes, preventing fly-tipping, addressing wildlife and agricultural crime, providing reassurance to residents, or engaging with landowners and farmers, rural policing remains a key priority for the team.
These photos showcase just a small part of the work officers have undertaken while out on rural patrols across Rickmansworth and surrounding areas over the years.
Alongside rural responsibilities, officers continue to carry out all other neighbourhood policing duties, responding to community concerns, tackling anti-social behaviour, conducting engagement events and working with partner agencies to keep our communities safe.
