Dear Resident
A man has been charged with multiple offences after police spotted a vehicle being driven erratically in Hemel Hempstead. Local officers were out on patrol during the early hours of yesterday (Monday 2 February) when they saw a Ford Fiesta travelling at excess speed. Upon requesting the driver the stop, the vehicle made off. Specially trained officers from the Road Policing Unit were dispatched to assist with the pursuit, during which the Fiesta allegedly travelled at significant speed on the wrong side of a dual carriageway. To ensure the safety of other road users, officers quickly brought the vehicle to a tactical stop. Harry Neary, aged 25, from Kings Langley, has been charged with: • Failing to stop • Dangerous driving • Failing to provide a roadside drug swipe • No insurance He has been bailed to appear at court later this month.
