Theft of Motor Vehicle - Legion Field Crescent, Tring, HP23 4FU.

Dear Resident

On the 15th of August 2025, between 00:01hrs and 03:28hrs, a theft of a vehicle occurred in Legion Field Crescent, Tring, HP23 4FU.

Victim returned home on his Yamaha MT-09 in grey and locked it in his rear garden in a shed, but during the night has been found on the street and two offenders made off from it.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
