Detectives are carrying out enquiries following two reports of burglary in #HemelHempstead this week.

It is believed that keyless vehicles are being targeted so we're offering some advice that residents may wish to follow:

 Keep vehicle keys and any spares in a signal blocking pouch. You can purchase police approved ‘Secured By Design’ pouches here: https://orlo.uk/J0uF8

Keep keys as far away from the vehicle as possible; upstairs and/or hidden away is preferable.

 Check your manual or with your dealer whether it is possible to switch the key’s signal off.

 A steering wheel lock is a simple yet effective tool to protect your vehicle. It is a visual deterrent that adds an extra layer of security.

 If your vehicle doesn’t have a tracker, consider getting one fitted.

 If you witness any suspicious activity around vehicles, call 999 straight away.
