Mopeds/Trial bikes

Dear Residents,

With the warmer weather approaching, we often see a rise in the use of mopeds and off-road bikes in our local area. Unfortunately, these are sometimes used in a way that causes disruption to the community, including noise at all hours and concerns about safety.  

We are asking for your help.

Many of these riders are not wearing the appropriate safety equipment, which puts them at serious risk of injury.  In addition to the noise and disruption, this creates a real danger - not only to the riders themselves but to others in the community. 

If you have any information about where these bikes are being stored or used—such as specific addresses, who is riding them, or patterns you’ve noticed—please contact us via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Working together, we can tackle this issue before it leads to increased antisocial behaviour or, worse, a serious accident. Your local policing team is committed to keeping our community safe, and your information could make a real difference.
