Update from your local Policing team |
||
Dear Resident It's been a busy week for the #Berkhamsted and #Tring Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT). Here are just some of the things they've been up to:
Patrols were carried out at Sunnyside allotments in #Berkhamsted following reports of anti-social behaviour. Thankfully there were no issues seen. It was also an opportunity for PCSO Brown to speak with allotment holders and listen to their concerns, while getting a few tips on growing veg. They were all very happy to see police on the ‘beet’.
The team had an 'ace' time meeting with residents at the #Berkhamsted tennis club open day. Advice was given around keeping homes and vehicles secure, as well as around reporting anti-social behaviour.
PCSO Brown and Community Engagement Advisor Daniel McManus visited Holly Drive in #Berkhamsted to provide a visible presence and speak with residents about any issues or concerns. They also signed people up to the Herts Connected community messaging system. You can sign up today by visiting https://orlo.uk/G9DdL
Officers were present at the Berkhamsted Raiders football tournament where they spoke to many residents of all ages, to pass on crime prevention and safety advice. They also took part in a little kick about, where they may or may not have lost to a team of five and six year olds…
Officers attended the Summer Fair at Bishop Wood School in #Tring where they spoke with lots of children and their parents. The rural police truck proved a big hit!
Advice and information was given to young people during a visit to a youth project in #Tring. Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) play a vital role in offering a reassuring presence to the public, helping to fight crime and anti-social behaviour, and forge stronger relationships with the communities they serve. They carry out regular patrols and host public engagement events. Alongside the NPT, #Dacorum is also policed by Intervention officers who respond to emergency calls, the Local Crime Unit which investigates the more serious crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse.
