Police have arrested a man on suspicion of multiple offences during proactive patrols in Hatfield. On Thursday 3 April, the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team were patrolling the Hatfield East ward when they spotted a vehicle of interest. They followed the vehicle in an unmarked police car until it came to a stop in Cotton Field. The driver was then detained for a search. Multiple packets of suspected class A drugs (cocaine) were found and seized. As part of further enquiries, officers carried out a search of a property in Hatfield. Tens of thousands of pounds were seized, as well as numerous designer goods. A 26 year old man from Hatfield was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, money laundering and profiting from or concealing the knowledge of the proceeds of crime. He has been bailed while an investigation is carried out. PC Martin Field, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “A thorough investigation is now underway.
