Robbery - Harpenden High Street - 17/4/25

Three schoolboys were robbed on Harpenden High Street last Thursday afternoon. Whilst only a small amount of cash was taken from the victims, this was clearly an upsetting and distressing experience for them.

Immediate 999 calls from the young victims, plus the assistance of members of the public led to PC 514 OLIVER detaining two young suspects at Harpenden Railway Station. She was soon assisted by local PCSO's and St Albans Intervention Officers.

The two suspects were arrested for Robbery within half an hour of the offences being committed, investigations are ongoing.

Can we remind parents/carers to speak with their children about basic personal safety and how and when to call Police? It can often mean the difference between apprehending offenders or not !

Police again wish to thank those members of the public who were quick to assist and film the suspects.

Stay safe.
