Police have been made aware that two vehicles were stolen overnight from the front driveway of a property on Furze View. Both sets of car keys have been taken from the property between midnight and 830am on Saturday the 19th of April. Access has been gained from the rear of the garden via patio doors. Police are appealing to anyone with CCTV on Furze View that may have captured a red mini cooper and a white volvo V40 being driven away on Furze View during the night. The crime reference is 41/35960/25.
Also, that night Police have received reports of attempted burglaries on Blacketts Wood Drive between 310 am and 320 am. CCTV that has been collected from these incidents does show two persons in baseball caps and face masks entering the side alleyway of a house and seen climbing into neighbouring gardens. A white racing style bicycle has been taken from a shed in one of the gardens. This bicycle has distinctive drop style handlebars. The crime reference is 41/35912/25. The persons captured on CCTV have also been seen trying door handles of cars on Blacketts Wood Drive and we believe they may also be the culprits for the vehicle thefts on Furze View.
Anyone with information on either of these crimes are urged to contact Police via 101 or online via https://www.herts.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/soh/seen-or-heard/
