Dear Resident Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Watford which resulted in two arrests. Officers were called to reports of an alleged altercation involving several men in Queen Mary’s Avenue at approximately 11am on Sunday 6 April. It’s reported that a white van was seen travelling at speed along the road, before two people exited the vehicle and went inside an address. A short time later, they came out of the address and were involved in a verbal altercation with another man before allegedly chasing him down the street. Detective Sergeant Vicky Sexton, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “We have made two arrests in connection with this incident and are carrying out our enquiries, but we are still looking to identify the alleged victim who was reportedly chased down the road. “The altercation happened during the day on a road that’s linked to an arterial route between Watford and Croxley Green, so we believe there may be other witnesses. “If you saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Queen Mary’s Avenue and nearby Rickmansworth Road around 11am on Sunday, please get in touch. “If you were driving in the area at the time stated, please check your dashcam for any footage of note.” You can report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/31837/25.
