A great opportunity has arisen for young people aged 10 to 13 years old to join a new junior police cadet group. During the eight-week programme junior cadets will gain an insight into policing, participate in practical scenarios, work together on a community project and take part in team building exercises. The scheme will start on Tuesday 25 March and the sessions will be held from 5pm – 6.30pm. There are 20 spaces available. Broxbourne Cadet Leader Bob Cox said: “Police cadet groups are popular across the county and give young people an opportunity to learn more about the police, make new friends and get involved with supporting their community. “The junior cadets is a new initiative we’re trialling in Broxbourne which precedes the current cadet groups we have available to people aged 13 to 18 years old. “If you know someone who may be interested or would like more information, please get in touch. You can email me at broxbournevpc@herts.police.uk.” The deadline for applications is Friday 14 March.
